Cincinnati & Sharonville
April 6 2017 (Cincinnati, OH) –
From Cincinnati campaign leader, Mary Clark…
40 DAYS FOR LIFE SPRING CAMPAIGN CLOSING PRAYER HOUR OF THANKSGIVING Plan to be at our Palm Sunday prayer hour of thanksgiving at 3pm, Sunday, April 9th. We will begin at the Holy Name Church parking lot (2422 Auburn Avenue) and process to Planned Parenthood praying the Way of the Cross for Unborn Victims of Abortion. This ecumenical prayer, based in readings from the Passion of Our Lord, is used yearly on Good Friday by a cross section of pro-life Christians in Chicago.
Fr. Thomas Wray, director of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, will lead the procession and give an address after we reach Planned Parenthood at the end of our procession. I will give an update on local, national and international successes of the campaign and if you have any reflections you would like to give, there will be time for doing so.
I hope everyone who took part in the campaign, whether you were praying at home, able to come to pray for one hour or came to pray as often as possible, will take the time to be with us next Sunday. Fr. Wray is a new speaker for us. Let’s show him we’re grateful for his accepting our invitation. This is a good way to begin Holy Week. Bring your blessed palms for the procession.
FINAL OPEN HOURS
Especially if you have not been able to come to pray yet, please help us cover all of the remaining open vigil prayer hours at Planned Parenthood.
From Sharonville campaign leader, Leslie Marsh:
It is hard to believe we are now going into our last week of 40 Days For Life. Thank you for all of your prayers and support at the Sharonville clinic. Be assured God is doing amazing works with them.
Last weekend after our group rosary for life we all were invited to tour the Women’s Center across the street. We were given a special thank you for our prayers and support. Many of the abortion minded women who go to the Women’s Center have a change of heart and in 2014 over 64% of these women going to the center decided not to have an abortion. Let’s rejoice in this and give thanks to all of the people working at the Women’s Center who offer positive solutions for unexpected pregnancies and continue to nurture mothers throughout their pregnancy and after they give birth. We are very blessed to have a pro life pregnancy center so close to the Sharonville clinic.
This weekend is our last weekend of the vigil. On Saturday, April 8 our group rosary for life begins at 9:15.
Please join us at Sharonville facility on Palm Sunday, April 9 at 2 pm. for our closing rosary for life. Deacon Mark Westendorf of Good Shepherd Catholic Church will be leading the rosary. All are welcome.
