National Night of Prayer for Life December 8th - Local Events Open to All

December 7, 2009 - Uniting the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with the Feast of St. Juan Diego, Tuesday, December 8th will mark the 20th annual National Night of Prayer for Life. Known local events include (additional may be available in your area):

Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center
Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave, Norwood will participate in the National Night of Prayer for Life. This event unites the feasts of the Immaculate Conception and the Feast of St. Juan Diego and will run from 9pm December 8 to 1am December 9th. Deacon Gerry Flamm will lead our prayer which will include Exposition and Adoration, Scriptural rosary (20 decades), silent prayer and hymns. This prayer to Our Lady on her feast will be celebrated especially for the pro-life cause. Midnight to 1am EST has been designated as the Hour of Unity wherein churches across the country will all pray in unison for the end of abortion. Please take some time that evening to join us in prayer. (513-351-9800 ext. 305)

St. James Church
St. James the Greater L.I.F.E. Ministry will be displaying nearly 2500 luminaries on parish grounds along Cheviot and Hubble Roads, Cincinnati, OH, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Tuesday, December 8th, and to mark the National Night of Prayer for Life. The St. James' Youth Choir will perform briefly before a short blessing of the candles at 6:30 pm. Mass will be conducted at 7pm for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, followed with hospitality provided by the American Heritage Girls including fellowship with hot chocolate and cookies. And the St. James' stable will be set-up, courtesy of the Father's Ministry, with a live Nativity scene performed by the 8th Grade Leadership Group from 5-9 pm. All are welcome to participate and drive by to see the stirring display of Lights for Life! (513/741-7120 or 513/385-4083)

St. Ann Church
St. Ann Church, 2900 W. Galbraith Road Cincinnati, OH, will join in praying on this holy occasion with 7:30pm Mass celebrating the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, then following at 8:15pm- 11:00pm National Night of Prayer for Life pro-life prayer service consisting of exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Rosary, prayer to St. Michael, silent prayer and hymns , ending with Benediction.
