Weekly Update – Week One

Trust in God and Pray

It has been a little over two weeks since we held our Kickoff Rally for the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign and we are well into the campaign itself.

Although the day of the Kickoff Rally on September 20 was brutally hot, I can safely say those who braved the weather were motivated by the prayers, songs and speakers to continue to promote this campaign and commit to ongoing witness to the need to persevere in public prayer towards the day when we can rejoice that Planned Parenthood has finally closed its doors for good.

In Fr. Jacob Willig’s remarks, he spoke to the verses of Psalm 37 which was chosen as the scripture of the hour. As always, his insights were inspirational and delivered with joy.

Katie Froman, Cincinnati Right to Life director, our guest speaker, highlighted prayer which is the basis of 40 Days for Life. As the founders of 40 Days for Life have always told us, if we simply show up on the sidewalk and humbly ask God’s help, hearts can be changed. We pray, trust and leave the rest to Him.

Thank you to those who have committed to public prayer during our first two weeks whether you’ve come individually or as part of a church group. Either way, please continue to come weekly to pray if you can. Sign up for prayer at www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati or contact me for help or with questions.

If you would like to share any thoughts or blessings, large or small, which you received while at prayer at Planned Parenthood, please send them to me for a future update.
